Summer Recreation and Swim

Thanks for your interest in our program. We would love to spend the summer with you!

What Ages: Our Summer Rec program is for kids ages 5-12/Grades K-6. Your child needs to be going into Kindergarten this fall to be eligible.

Price: Any student who resides in the Village or Town of Lowville will receive a full scholarship for free attendance this summer. If your student resides outside of the Village or Town of Lowville (Watson, Castorland, etc.) you will receive a partial scholarship and need to pay $375 for the remainder of the fee.

*Contact your local township to see if you are eligable for a youth recreation scholarship

Registration: Registration for Village and Town of Lowville residents will be from May 5th-16th. For students outside of the Village and Town registration will be May 19th-30th.

Where: Lowville Academy and Central School

When: We will begin July 7th and the last day will be August 8th. The program runs from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Food: You will be responsible for packing your child a lunch and a water bottle! We will be providing snacks for each child every day this summer. If you need assistance with providing a lunch please let us know.

Field Trips: We will be going on field trips again this summer! The dates and places are still TBD.

Daily Activities: This summer we will offer music, art, sports, community walks, and more! The weekly schedule will be posted at the beginning of each week at check-in on Mondays so you and your child know what to expect for that week!

Swim Lessons: Lessons will be available at Croghan Pool Monday-Thursday 9am-12pm. Transportation will be available for summer rec students.
